London once again feels vivid and convincing, with its mixture of old streets, hidden spaces and lingering history perfectly suited to the occult undercurrents running beneath the plot.

Kate Rawson’s narration is once again outstanding and plays a major role in the success of the audiobook. Her performance captures Lydia’s personality with warmth and subtlety, balancing intelligence, determination and vulnerability in a way that feels entirely natural. Rawson never forces emotional scenes, allowing the tension and drama to emerge organically through careful pacing and understated delivery.
